Pacific Power 100th BirthdayDate: 06-15-2010 ~ 06-17-2010 Location: Morrison Bridge LightsWLB is especially pleased to help Pacific Power celebrate its 100 years of service to this area. In addition to its innovations in efficiency and renewable energy--the first wind farm, first solar and efficiency demonstration home; its Earth Stewardship, Green Corps and Blue Sky programs-- Pacific Power was the major sponsor of the upgrade of the Morrison Bridge lighting system. The switch to LED fixtures uses only one-eighth the power the white floodlights needed, and now a wide variety of colors can be programmed via a computer from the Bridge Shop--no more changing by hand of color gels out on each fixture.
This innovative lighting system has become a way for the community to share, educate, inform and celebrate events by putting their individual colors on the Morrison Bridge. Pacific Power is doing just that with blue and red company colors for its 100th anniversary! The region is lucky they opened a headquarters in Portland in 1910 and that Pacific Power continues to be such a good supporter of the community.

World Diabetes DayDate: 11-14-2010 ~ 11-15-2010 Location: Morrison Bridge LightsWLB is pleased to help the region participate again this year in recognizing November 14th as World Diabetes Day by shining their two-tone blue colors. Just as there are worldwide efforts to assuage and cure diabetes, the blue colors of the campaign against this disease are being shown at events today in various cities around the globe to honor these efforts. We hope it helps get the word out about the causes and cures of this serious disease. |
