June is National Cancer Survivor Month and Providence Cancer Institute is shining a purple light on the Morrison Bridge to honor all those affected by cancer. It’s time to celebrate milestones during treatment and beyond, and recognize those who have provided support. Let’s #FINISHCANCER together!

World Caring Day

CaringBridge is a no-cost, nonprofit health platform that surrounds family caregivers with support while they care for a loved one on a health journey. We offer tools to share and document a health journey, simplify care coordination, and connect caregivers with a supportive community.

National Gun Violence Awareness Day / Wear Orange Weekend

Orange has become the symbol of the gun violence prevention movement. By lighting orange, buildings and landmarks across the country are signaling support for all victims and survivors and showing we are united in the vision of a future free from gun violence.

8 Seconds Juneteenth Rodeo

This Juneteenth weekend, come celebrate the cowboys of today and the legacy of Black rodeo at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Featuring some of today’s bravest riders, nastiest bulls, tastiest food, and live beats from DJ OG One, the 8 Seconds Juneteenth Rodeo will be an experience like no other.

Independence Day

The Fourth of July, is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the Declaration of Independence, which was ratified by the Second Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, establishing the United States of America.

Waterfront Blues Festival

The Portland Winter Light Festival is collaborating with Waterfront Blues Festival this year and will share light-up art to complement the fantastic music!

Known far and wide as a gay-friendly destination, the Rose City is open and accepting to visitors of all stripes. Portland gets friendlier than ever with the annual Portland Pride Festival and Parade, which accompanies LGBTQ+ community celebrations all over town.
