Roon and advocate Emma Maxwell are lighting the bridge yellow for endometriosis awareness month.

Cascade Life Alliance

Cascade Life Alliance is the federally designated Organ Procurement Organization serving Oregon. Donate Life Month is an annual observance in April encouraging people to register to be organ, eye, and tissue donors. It is a time to honor donors who have saved lives, as well as their loved ones.

Peak Spring Bird Migration

Bird Alliance of Oregon works to inspire people to protect birds and the natural world, building a community dedicated to creating a sustainable future for all life. Our seasonal Lights Out campaign highlights Peak Migration, when artificial lights can draw birds off course while flying at night.

Portland Fire & Rescue

This request is in hopes of honoring fallen firefighters across the country. We have 78 members of PF&R who have given their lives in service to the city and unfortunately we are adding names locally and nationally all the time. Thus effort is in hopes of a nationwide honoring.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation’s World Wish Day

This year, April 29th will celebrate the 45th anniversary of the founding of the Make-A-Wish foundation when wish kid Chris Greicius had his wish to be a police officer granted. The Oregon chapter was founded in 1983 and has since granted over 5,300 wishes and counting for local children.
